Trial of the Zora Armor - Epilogue
~~~~ *One Hundred Years Later* ~~~~ Link… How much do you remember of what took place between us one hundred years ago? Do you know why that Zora Armor fits you so perfectly? His head snapped up. Link looked over both shoulders in expectation of finding someone there. He then looked down at himself, expecting to find the Zora Armor he was not wearing, before remembering that the voice came from deep inside Vah Ruta. There are many things I hope you will remember, but if you can't recall those memories, I suppose it can’t be helped. As for me… I shall never forget. Confusion slowly spread through his mind. What happened one hundred years ago that people couldn't stop talking about? Zelda was important, sure, she was the sole reason this world still existed. But why was everyone always wanting to talk about her and the Hyrule of one hundred years ago? It made no sense! That world was long gone, its ashes had become this world’s new ground. There was no
Trial of the Zora Armor - Chapter Fifteen
He had woken up before her. Her breaths were still slow and calm, the expression on her face filled with peace. The marks her nails had made in her hand were still visible, he cringed at them. Because there were no matters to tend to, but he surely wasn't going to leave her after everything that had happened, Link softly examined her with only his eyes. Her nightgown, still stained with dried blood and the right shoulder still slit, draped elegantly over her curves. He loved those curves, they announced her femininity without being extensive or drastic, yet distinct enough to send flutters through him. Her belly rose and fell with unconscious breath, declaring that she was full of love and fully loved. He would fight for both of them in a heartbeat, even his slumber knew it. While on the topic of their coming child, Link looked up from Zelda and scanned the bed they slept in. I hope the Castle becomes safe soon… this bed's gonna get a little small once she gets a little bigger.
Link awoke once more from a pain in his side. He reached over to touch, only to find Zelda's nails digging in. "Ungh." Zelda whimpered, nails digging in further. "Unnngh." Link opened his eyes to see her sweating, clawing his side with one hand and her stomach with the other. "Zelda." He tried to awaken her, but only heard continued sounds of pain. "Zelda!" He pulled her hand from her stomach, finding she had dug deep into her own skin. Realizing its barrier was missing, her hand clenched into a shivering fist, undoubtedly digging into the skin there. Link jerked away from her side, hearing her cry out in discomfort and press her knee to her belly. He picked her up, quickly but trying to be gentle, and took her downstairs where the Sheikah were, crossing paths with Impa on the stairs. "The blood moon is back, the blood moon is back." She muttered feverishly to her prince. "No… no!" Link cried out, rocking his pregnant wife while she groaned. "Purah thinks the
"Thank Hylia, all of you are safe!" Link's father cried out as he saw everyone in Kakariko Village. Sydnei buried herself in Zelda's chest, since the Princess herself was in Link's. "Alright, child, get off the Princess please. She's in pain." Khosha gently shooed Sydnei to her side. Sydnei slid off and pressed her small hand onto Zelda’s stomach as she had seen Link do. "Is your tummy hurting?" "Mostly." “Is there anything to help you feel better?” “I don’t think so, but I’ll be alright.” Zelda ruffled Sydnei’s hair, sighing deeply. She knew that the pain in her stomach had come from the attack and resulting escape, but she didn’t want to increase anyone’s worry. She was still in partial shock due to her low blood level, anything else would make panic worse. Link smiled. “She’s a tough girl, Sydnei.” Urbosa chuckled. “You’d have to be to walk away after getting hurt like she did.” “What happened?” Link’s father asked. “She fought back against a Yiga that
Link rolled over in his sleep, huffing as he fought within his dreamscape, before being awakened by a long, low groan. "Zelda?" He asked instinctively, reaching over to find her out of bed. He shot awake, already in a tizzy. "Zelda?!" "Shhh, Link. I'm okay. Don't wake him." Link's voice instantly quieted once he heard her voice, confusion dripping from him. "Him?" He looked towards his wife, who was in a ready stance with a heavy book clutched in her hands, standing over a limp body. A body. Someone had gotten in! Link jumped out of bed, rushing towards Zelda. Where were the guards? Weren't they supposed to keep the chambers secure? Zelda winced, pressing a hand over her bloody shoulder. Her holy blood spilled out onto the blue and gold nightgown. She'd been struck. Panic surged through Link's mind for Zelda, Little Hyrule, the attacker who lay lifeless in their room… and his own life. Now the entire world knew he had married Zelda, and if this attacker got away
Zelda's knees suddenly buckled while running from the Yiga attacks, she gripped her stomach and cried out in pain. "Little bird!" Urbosa thought fast to catch the expectant princess with her body. "What is the matter?" Zelda leaned up against Urbosa, groaning. "My baby…" She winced. Urbosa began to panic. "Are you in labor, little bird? Is your child coming?" Her hand flew onto Zelda's stomach, feeling for contractions. Zelda groaned again, stomping her foot on the ground. "Link?!" She called for her husband, afraid. "Zelda, look at me, honey, look at me." Urbosa began to rub her stomach, feeling for even the smallest sign that Zelda was giving birth. "You're in no condition to move, but I'm going to get you to the First Gatehouse and you're going to be okay." Urbosa lifted her up gently, watching her face twist in pain. She felt something shift in Zelda's lower stomach and bit her lip. Don't have them here, don't have them here, Zelda. If you're gonna deliver the baby
Trial of the Zora Armor - Chapter Ten
*Somewhere in the Gerudo Desert* Two Yiga soldiers appeared and walked into a banana-peel-laden banquet hall and bowed. Two other Yiga, alongside a mysterious prophet of Ganon's, sat at the table discussing amongst themselves. "Master Kohga. We bring a report on the attack at Hyrule Castle." The prophet turned, eerily watching the soldiers, while Kohga clapped. "Oh, goody!" "This battle formed two fronts, so I will deliver information on the intended front and he will for the sudden." "Two fronts? Did the Hyrulean Army surround you?" The prophet asked in a mocking voice. "No, the King and half the Champions were at the banquet. The Princess, Knight and the other Champions were not. We placed troops in both locations." He took a deep breath in. "The soldiers stationed at the pavilions did not face much opposition until the Rito arrived, we had almost taken the King when he came in, bomb arrows blazing. The Champions… dissolved that front quickly after." "We ambushed the
"Hiyah!" Link exclaimed as he sent yet another dummy flying, now clad in knights' armor. "I got it!" Revali pulled back the Great Eagle Bow's strings to send three bomb arrows flying into the dummy. Both young men exclaimed in satisfaction as the inanimate object exploded as a result of their combined efforts. "Perfect!" Revali declared, spinning his bow and flipping his braids. "Take that, Bokoblin!" Link added victoriously, brushing his hand through his hair as he put his sword back into its scabbard. "Should we reset it for another go?" "Hah! Finally something we both agree on!" Revali landed next to Link after tossing the dummy's remains into a now-full basin. However, his head snapped up before he or Link could move any further. "Wait. Something's coming in, fast and furious." "Hmm?" Link asked before the main doors swung open and crashed into the walls. "Link!" A furious, familiar, feminine voice bellowed from the doors. The two young men turned around to find
*Almost a month afterwards* Zelda slipped her tiara onto her head and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked pregnant. Her bump had become large enough that anything she wore showcased her baby curves, even the loose white maiden's dress that she was wearing, having just returned from the Spring of Power, no longer hid her bump under its natural flow. "Fifteen weeks, Zelda, twenty-five more to go." She told herself, then rubbed her belly. "Think we can do that, Little Hyrule?" "I don't know, Little Hyrule may not be able to wait that long to meet you." A familiar voice replied, Prince Link. His sideburns had been straightened somewhat, his dirty blond hair, now adorned with a diadem that somewhat matched Zelda's tiara, was put nicely into its usual ponytail. Even though he wore a stunningly formal white suit with the Royal Emblem and Triforce emblazoned on it, his usual blue earrings were still present in his ears. He bent down to Zelda's stomach, rubbing it. "Is Momma
"Your Highnesses? The midwife is here now." Impa walked into the room, causing Link to take his eyes off Zelda. Looking back at his bride, he gripped her hands and squeezed them. “It’s going to be okay…” he whispered before turning towards the Sheikah again. “Send her in, Impa.” The Hateno Village midwife, a middle-aged woman with brown hair that was beginning to turn grey, entered and bowed. "Your Highnesses…" Link rose from the bed and walked over. "You may rise." She did so, and smiled softly as she realized his height. "How you've grown, Your Highness." He chuckled awkwardly, then led her to Zelda's bedside. "Princess Zelda," She dipped her head in respect. "how do you fare?" "...I am uncertain." "May she take a look?" Link asked with a soft voice. Zelda nodded. "I suppose that would be beneficial." The midwife bent down next to her side, gently lifting up the fabric that concealed her stomach. She was careful not to reveal more than was necessary for
